Three arts organisations have been appointed to lead major creative commissions in Redditch following a successful tender process run by ReNEW.
The projects form part of the Sharing Stories, Shaping Future programme, which aims to grow a thriving cultural landscape across Redditch and surrounding areas. All three commissions are designed to celebrate local pride, strengthen community connections, and create professional arts industry opportunities for young people in digital, visual, and performing arts.
Awe and Wander: Digital Arts Project
Overhear Ltd has been appointed to lead Awe and Wander, a digital arts project. The scheme will connect local communities with nearby green spaces, with a particular focus on underrepresented neighbourhoods. Digital creativity will be used to help people connect with nature in an accessible, meaningful, and inspiring way.
Wagons Roll: Performing Arts Project
Trigger Productions will spearhead the Wagons Roll project, which centres on performing arts. The project is inspired by the colourful fairground traditions that have shaped local culture since the late nineteenth century. It will honour the creativity, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit of generations of Showmen and their families.
Visual Arts Project
INSTAR has been appointed to deliver the third visual arts project. This will invite residents to share stories, memories, and experiences inspired by local landscapes to help shape artistic activity.

Timeline and Further Information
All three projects will be developed over the coming months with public engagement activities taking place across the area. The projects will finish in late 2027.
