Improvement works are set to begin at Morton Stanley Park on Monday, 7 September, as part of Redditch Borough Council's investment in parks and open spaces.
The project will deliver new facilities including an outdoor fitness area, a new ball park, new play equipment, and additional picnic benches.
What to expect during construction
Large construction vehicles will operate within the park during the works. Three parking bays will be temporarily used as a contractor works compound.
Residents are asked to take extra care when visiting the park during the construction period and to follow any temporary signage in place.
Timeline and next steps
Works are hoped to be completed by the end of September, subject to weather conditions.
Councillor Matt Dormer, Leader of the Council, said the improvements will provide new opportunities for residents and families to be active, socialise, and enjoy the outdoors. He added that the project is part of a sequence of park improvements the council aims to deliver over the next 18 months.
