Redditch Borough Council is inviting residents to join free Tai Chi sessions running throughout the summer at Arrow Valley Park. The sessions take place every Tuesday starting on 7 July 2026 at 1:30pm, funded by Worcestershire County Council.
Participants should meet by the amphitheatre next to the play park at Arrow Valley Park. No prior experience is required — Tai Chi is described as a gentle and accessible form of exercise.
Health benefits
Tai Chi offers a range of physical and mental wellbeing benefits, including improved balance, greater flexibility, increased strength, and reduced stress. Practising outdoors in fresh air provides additional health advantages.
About the sessions
Cllr Matt Dormer, Leader of Redditch Borough Council, said: "Tai Chi is a gentle and accessible form of exercise that offers a variety of physical and mental health benefits. We're pleased to be able to offer these free sessions and encourage residents to come along and give it a try."
